This new dental-work hack is something to chew on.

TikTok user Yaa Animwaah Khay posted a tutorial showing the “hack” she used to cover the gap in between her two front teeth — using chewing gum.

”So first, I’d buy gum,” she said in the clip, stressing the gum had to be almost the same shade as her natural teeth.

”Then chew for like 5 seconds and use my tongue to stick it behind my teeth.”

According to the TikToker, that would be enough to ”blend in with your teeth” and cover the gap between the front two incisors.

Khay’s original clip revealing her “hack” has been viewed almost 2.5 million times, promoting her to demonstrate how she used to hide the gap.

The thrifty woman admitted the gum definitely was a short-term solution, as she posted a clip of her dancing and singing with friends with the gum falling straight out of her mouth, much to her embarrassment.

“It did me dirty,” she said, referencing the candy falling out of her mouth, adding that, at the moment, it ”literally ruined my mood.”

Khay said she doesn’t have a gap in her teeth anymore because she got aligners.

“[They were] more affordable and quicker than braces,” she wrote in a comment, explaining her decision and adding she has had aligners for almost two years now.

Although many people commented, saying how much they loved her gap, she admitted she has become a lot more confident since she had her teeth adjusted.

”Fam the way it embarrassed me,” she said, referencing her gap.
