I’m in LA at the moment — will be here through Wednesday. But wanted to give you a wee update on the random semi-fashion-related things I’ve been doing-ish out here. Okay, not really. I haven’t really done any real fashion things out here, besides to go Forever 21 with my friend at The Grove this afternoon.

On Saturday I spent the day at a famous chef’s house and she showed me the fake fat that she uses when talking to people about nutritious cooking. This is what five pounds of fake fat looks like — she says you can order it off the internet!

Also, I’ve been investigating the local fashion, uh, statements on Hollywood Boulevard…

And at Runyon Canyon they even have helpful fashion footwear tips posted at the entrance/exit of a steep-ish climb.

And I even found inspiration in this painting on the wall at the Greek restaurant at The Grove this afternoon. Really, I quite like it.
