After too much holiday celebrating, I left my bag in a cab. Saddened by my loss and stupidity, I told myself it was an excuse to buy a new one. While it turned up in the customer service area of Penn Station (note I was nowhere near Penn station), I got to thinking about the top bags that I had been eyeing as replacements.

At the top of my list is the Dean by Boyy. It’s a classic buttery leather number with just the right touches of hardware and detail.

The Lulu Guinness Hillary bag with a faux lipstick tube as a zipper is simply adorable.

And who wouldn’t want a Chloe Edith Bowler Bag in red?

To top it off, Club Monaco has a men’s overnight bag that resembles an Hermes Birkin but sells for the price of an Hermes Ascot.
