December 12, 2006 – March 2007 Nan Kempner’s wardrobe goes on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.
A mainstay of New York’s Park Avenue social world and benefit circuit up until her death last year, Kempner always exhibited exquisite all-American fashion sensibility and good taste. Still, no one could ever accuse her of being formulaic or boring.
