Kanye West better pray he never makes fashion icon Iris Apfel wait for two hours in the summer heat to watch his next runway show.

“There’s no more etiquette, period,” Apfel tells Threads when asked about whether West’s debacle of a show last week was a sign of fashion’s downfall. “Nobody has manners anymore. Young people just seem to be addicted to pressing buttons. Everything’s gone to hell. But people seem to accept it. People need to rebel against it!”

Apfel may be 95, but she’s busier than ever thanks to her new line with Macy’s INC and her collection of Happy Socks out now. Which means more fanfare than ever before. “One young man, he came over and he started to cry he was so excited. Right in front of Bergdorf Goodman — he couldn’t stop it, tears were gushing,” she says. “Another young woman at the museum came over to me and she started to shake.

“I’ve had strange reactions,” admits Apfel, who makes a public appearance at Macy’s Herald Square Sept. 15. Just wait until she hears Kanye’s comeback to her comments.
