… fashion weeks, everywhere you go…
With Milan men’s fashion week come and gone and Paris Couture Week kicking off on Monday with some really fantabulous parties thrown by the New Yorker and Vanity Fair, we mark the beginning of what promises to be a very imminent and long six weeks of 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. four fashion shows-per-hour on-the-hour (plus dinners, plus parties!). Here’s the line-up: start off Monday with Paris Couture, then hang around to see the beautiful boys at Paris men’s fashion week. We’ll fly right back into JFK for New York fashion week at Bryant Park February 2nd to February 9th — we’ve already got our outfits picked out to be sure. Two days down time and a trans-Atlantic flight later, it’s off to London fashion week (it’s all about London these days), with Milan women’s week immediately following, and then, finally, back round to Paris for women’s ready-to-wear presentations.
And you thought fashion people just sat around all day twiddling the heels of their Manolos.
(I’ll tell you one thing — it’s nice to work in an industry wherein no matter where in the world you go, where on earth you choose to live, or where you work, you get to see your friends for weeks at a time at least twice a year. Plus: Everyone’s always got really good gossip.)
