You know, I’m always pleasantly surprised with J. Mendel. In a way, the label has cultivated kind of a snooty, Upper-East-Side-Socialite air. And every fashion week show is just chock full of bleach blonde old-money grown-up socials. But whenever his dresses show up on the red carpet, they always look easy to wear, they really complement nearly everyone who wears them, and are classically beautiful. I doubt you could ever end up on a “Fashion Don’t” list wearing J. Mendel. The label is definitely a red carpet “Fashion Do.”
