In the 1986 cult classic “The Fly,” we watched Jeff Goldblum turn into a pitiable ball of pus. In 2016, the 63-year-old actor has morphed into something slightly less grotesque: a fashion plate.

That’s right. Since re-entering the spotlight to build up his soon-to-be blockbuster “Independence Day: Resurgence,” Goldblum has become a low-key street-style star, quietly showing the world that sexagenarians don’t have to commit themselves to sartorial conservatism — or dad-bod sloppiness.

Moto jackets, skinny jeans, slick suits, Saint Laurent boots — Mr. Goldblum, slim and strapping at 6-foot-4, looks great in them all.

What’s his secret? Don’t fight nature.

“I’ve . . . never used Botox, never had plastic surgery,” Goldblum recently told GQ. “I think when nature changes your face — especially if you live a clean life — your body is designed so it all looks right together. When you try to be youthful, it only makes you look older.”

Preach, brother. Now, someone please direct that wisdom to Hollywood’s tinted-glasses crew.
