I can’t tell you one thing about the Sochi Olympics (including where Sochi is on a map), but I know Johnny Weir loves his Rick Owens wedges, and pink oversized Chanel brooch.

Tapped by NBC’s Sports Network to comment on figure skating competitions, the 29-year-old, two-time American figure skating medalist has been turning it up on camera with his colorful fashion sense, outshining athletes and even his co-commentator, fellow Olympian and flower crown enthusiast Tara Lipinski.

Though Weir, who is married to a man of Russian descent, caught heat from the LGBT community weeks back for refusing to boycott the Olympic Games in notoriously gay-unfriendly Russia, it seems his flamboyant charm and clothing choices are serving an even more effective “f–k you” to the homophobic cultural and political statutes of Putin’s regime.

For proof, look no further than Instagram, where Weir chronicles his ensembles, credits and all, with commendable consistency. Here are his best looks so far.

Now, what’s the Russian word for “fierce?”
