The What:

There was a lot going on for Karen Walker this season, two new collaborations to be exact. One with handbag designer Benah and the other a sneaker collaboration with BePositive, all making their debut on the runway.  Then, there are the layers of summer clothes. Super comfy cotton, linen muslins and gauzes in Eastern influenced styles (from drop-crotch pants to trench coats) were paired with “magic carpet” prints creating an exotic direction for the collection. But, Walker’s menswear influences were still present in more tailored pieces (shorts, boxy jackets) and over-sized knitwear creating a perfect mix of Eastern and Western influences.

The Highlight:

A tangerine linen muslin double-breasted jacket and matching dhoti (pants)…a perfect summer suit!
