Kate Bosworth is already one of the most fashionable gals in the biz, so it’s only fitting that she’s now launched her own shoe collection — in collaboration with Matisse Footwear — at Nordstrom in LA. Meanwhile, H&M is on a massive hiring spree, and is promoting some perks to make it happen.
-Kate Bosworth debuted her new shoe collection at Nordstrom Wednesday, and some designs sold out in the first 24 hours. The kicks start at $320 and cost up to $505, and can be purchased at retailers such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s. [WWD]
-H&M has some pretty lofty goals — including opening 61 new stores this year alone. The Norwegian-based retailer launched a massive campaign to recruit hundreds of new employees, by touting impressive perks such as five weeks paid vacation, paid birthday holidays, pet insurance and opportunity for advancement. -As a middle-of-the-road retailer — more expensive than competitor T.J. Maxx but more budget-friendly than Bloomingdale’s — Macy’s is in a bit of a slump. The cure? Beefing up its top 150 stores with more high-end merch, more staff, new technology and a store redesign. [Fortune]
-First Opening Ceremony took over your closet — and now, it’s taking over your shoe rack. The fashion brand has teamed up with Aldo to deliver a footwear collection for Spring/Summer 2016. [Business of Fashion]
-Amazon Prime had better watch its back. Walmart is now offering unlimited free shipping services, starting this summer, to deliver online goods to customers — but with a $50 annual fee, it’s half the price of competitor Amazon Prime. [USA Today]
