La La Anthony has an important announcement: Listen to your mother.

“My mom always told me, don’t get tattoos, you’re going to regret it,” says Anthony, who’s featured alongside her mother, Carmen Surillo, in Lord & Taylor’s Mother’s Day campaign.

“I’m like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’ And now I am removing 90 percent of my tattoos!” laughs Anthony, who boasts about 10 tats, including a dragon on her back. “Let me tell you, getting tattoos removed is the most painful experience in life. Imagine the worst pain and it’s 100 times worse. You can literally smell your skin burning up,” she says. “Mom is always right.”
