Lacoste
Lacoste, a house that has become synonymous with a certain green crocodile, can breathe a sigh of relief. In his first season designing for the brand, newcomer Felipe Oliveira Baptista has successfully breathed new life into those stale collared shirts. Today’s lesson? Fashion and function can be yours if you play by Baptista’s rules.
He stuck to a limited palette (navy, black and beige were anchored against bits of salmon and aqua) and looser silhouettes.
Acid yellow parachute tunics, slit-up-to there slinky knit dresses, Pac-Man-like prints, and swingy cropped polo tops made sporty look sexy in one hot minute. Couples tennis, anyone?
