Jeremy Scott may not have the most eccentric collection at this fall’s New York Fashion Week after all. Lady Gaga’s stylist, Brandon Maxwell, will be showing his first ready-to-wear collection in September. Meanwhile, David Beckham teams up with Kevin Hart to debut his H&M collection, “Modern Essentials Selected by David Beckham.”

-After years of dressing the queen of crazy fashion, Lady Gaga, Brandon Maxwell is taking his talents to the runway. The designer will present a ready-to-wear collection at NYFW in September. (Here’s hoping none of the looks includes a dress made of meat.) “It’s important that it’s humble and taken seriously. I want women to want to wear the clothes, and I want people to say it was well made and well thought out.” [WWD]

-David Beckham’s collection with H&M won’t be released until later this year, but thanks to some behind-the-scenes Instagram snaps, it appears as though comedian Kevin Hart will co-star in the ad with the soccer stud himself. [Racked]

-Phil Knight isn’t in the shoe business — he’s in the entertainment business. That’s how the chairman of Nike transformed the company from an athletic apparel retailer to one of the leaders of athleisure fashion. [The Atlantic]

-Emily Schuman of the fashion blog Cupcakes and Cashmere launched her first-ever clothing line on Nordstrom on Monday — and the collection almost entirely sold out within minutes. [Racked]

-When social media goes wrong: Benefit Cosmetics, a UK-based company, was just trying to join in on one of the trending hashtags when they made a major misstep. The hashtag they happened to jump on? The fat-shaming #MakeAMovieAFatty. The brand eventually apologized. [Racked]
