Libertine designer Johnson Hartig chose to have a presentation, which still had almost all the thrills of a show, for his second outing as a solo designer. The love for this line isn’t a secret, as Bergdorf Goodman one of the first to buy, and the press shows no lack of love either. So it’s not surprising he stayed close to what worked for him in his fall 2011 collection.

Which means painting the town all over again — just not red or bright colors this time. Black blazers, skinny pants, dresses and coats projected a bold, even punk allure when white stripes and circles are brushed on. Not much color, but all in all just what the Libertine customer is ready to transition into after the psychedelic colors from fall.
