The newest MySpace invaders? Your friendly neighborhood trendy boutique. Stores like L.A.’s
,
, and New York’s
are all up on My/YourSpace gathering friends, fans, and celebrity clients.
Check out the shops’ MySpace blogs to find out about secret sales and latest shipments — Shvitz, for example, updates its blog several times a week — when Primp comes into the store, they post it, and then it’s gone just-like-that.
Even boutiques abroad have created MySpace profiles — internationalizing their client base via MySpace is cheap and easy. Check out Helsinki’s Wunder, a just-opened-last-summer mecca of cool clothes (Wendy & Jim, Kokon To Zai, Daniel Palillo, and more) and cooler records.
