Jon Hamm, who has a regularly updated Tumblr devoted to the fit of his pants, isn’t a (trouser) snake with the wardrobe department on “Mad Men.”

He uses the utmost politesse with the show’s costumer, Janie Bryant. “His biggest comments are, ‘Janie, this zipper is so long.’ The pants come up past the belly button,” she said, adding, “All the guys make fun of me for how long the zippers are in the trousers.”

Hamm & Co. can breathe easier and ditch the form-fitting ’60s suits. The show just wrapped its final season. Bryant, who also designed three “Mad Men-inspired” collections for Banana Republic, will now focus on women’s fashion — she is launching a line of evening handbags with Koret and shopping a reality show, “Janie Bryant’s Hollywood,” centered around her life.
