Uma Thurman rocks “Vamp” in 1994’s “Pulp Fiction.”MiramaxNot many nail polishes boast a Wikipedia page. Then again, few lacquers are as famous as Chanel’s “Vamp,” the black-red hue that became a cultural sensation after it debuted on the brand’s 1995 spring/summer runway.
Madonna wore it in her “Take a Bow” video; Uma Thurman worked it in “Pulp Fiction”; Sarah Michelle Gellar even gave the polish a shout-out in the first episode of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Now, Chanel has rolled out a holiday beauty collection to celebrate the shade’s 20th anniversary.
Called Chanel Vamp Attitude, the limited-edition lineup is a ’90s dream, complete with Vamp-inspired eye-shadow palettes, lipsticks, glosses, new nail colors and — of course — the legendary polish itself.
