Marc by Marc Jacobs
The little sister line to Marc Jacobs’ namesake label is growing up. It is, after all, the brand’s tenth birthday.
Opening with a rather conservative copper metallic jacket and a herringbone pant set the tone for a series of menswear-inspired looks, some done in lush matchy velvets, brownish tweeds, or a particularly well-cut navy and red plaid wide-legged version with a perfectly box peacoat on top.
But fangirls, fret not: Doses of that MMJ whimsy still ruled the runway. Panther prints adorned clutches, while leaping deer hopped across sky-high wedges and midi-length skirts. For ready-to-wear, there were cheetah print and chevron stripe skirts, the coziest of colorblocked blanket coats and the prettiest, full-skirted, emerald green frock. Here’s to the next ten.
