Madonna’s got a new career; the singer/author/mom is also going to play designer.

H&M announced today that they’re planning a March ’07 release of M by Madonna, a clothing and accessories line created by the singer.

Red string bracelets, perhaps?

Earlier this year the Material Mom launched a line of track suits for the Swedish retailer that she was constantly photographed wearing.

In New York, I saw those track suits on the H&M sale racks. And, as of last week, there was still some leftovers at both the 5th Avenue and 34th Street stores.
