You know what’s funny. When I lived in London, I never bought anything at Browns’ women’s store. I’d pop by to visit my friend
at Browns Men’s when he was working there and then sometimes I’d go to Browns Labels for Less, where I once Scored (with a capital S, hands down won) a current-season Comme des Garcons coat for 90 percent off. And back in the day we’d go to Browns Focus, when they stocked Margiela (before
and the Margiela shop opened), Dries, and some other label we loved, but then they changed directions and now they seem to mostly carry labels of a different aesthetic. Anyway, what I was saying was that back in the day, I never went to Browns women’s, but now I’ve been relegated to an adult (non-student) life across the pond and look at grown-up clothes all the time in shops like Barneys, I’m starting to realize how great the selection at Browns womens is. I definitely spend a lot of time on
website these days, browsing the men’s accessories, women’s dresses, shoes, and bags. Haven’t been back to London in years because of the exchange rate. Hopefully will make a triumphant return in 2009, fingers crossed.
