When clothes are bright, offbeat and look as though they’re designed to be ripped off like a banana peel, you can bet you’ll soon see them on Miley Cyrus.
Enter Simon Porte Jacquemus, who kicked off Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday night with a spring collection that’s practically guaranteed to land real estate in the pop star’s closet of underboob-friendly wares.
Staged in a cavernous rec center on the outskirts of town, the show was a dreamy, surrealistic meditation on the “clean simplicity and sacred geometry that is Jacquemus,” as Cyrus put it in a platonic love letter to the 25-year-old Frenchman in July.
The real kicker? In the middle of it all, the prince of playful design himself showed up pulling a white steed. The only thing that could have been better is if a nude Cyrus had been on it, pulling a Lady Godiva.
