These shoes are out of this world — “Jurassic World,” that is.
On Saturday, the 53 contestants competing in Sunday’s Miss America pageant will gather for the annual Show Us Your Shoes parade, but they’ve given fans a sneak peek of their kicks at a press conference beforehand.
The parade, a tradition since the 1970s, gives the beauties the opportunity to design a pair of pumps representative of the state from which they hail — the more bling, the better.
Miss Mississippi Hannah Roberts opted for a pair of stilettos accented with a bejeweled magnolia (Mississippi’s state flower), Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson honored her home state’s famed slopes with an ice-covered pump, Miss Texas Shannon Sanderford honored the Lone Star state with embellished cowboy boots and Miss Montana Danielle Wineman paid homage to her state’s Jurassic past with T-rex heels.
