Model Pritika Swarup — who’s starred in major campaigns for Fenty Beauty, Ralph Lauren and Escada — is no stranger to Miami Art Basel or its legendary parties. Last year, after taking in inspiring exhibits, the founder and CEO of Prakti, a holistic beauty brand that draws influence from her Indian heritage, helped Cartier celebrate 100 years at a soiree DJ’d by Janelle Monáe, then danced the night away at the Faena [hotel].

“That collision of culture, creativity and nightlife is what keeps me coming back!” says the Virginia-born Columbia University financial-economics grad, who calls New York City home but spends time in LA and Miami. “There’s a boldness and freedom to the way Miami moves, and it shows up in the colors of Wynwood murals and the music spilling out of Little Havana. It’s a place where everyone is fully expressing themselves, and that creates a rhythm that’s completely its own.”

When she’s in Miami, Swarup, 30, often starts her day with a walk on the beach, followed by lunch at Casadonna or dinner at Casa Tua (which she says “feels like a secret garden in the middle of South Beach”), then maybe an underground salsa club until the wee hours.
