Chromat designer Becca McCharen-Tran is raising the bar for other designers at New York Fashion Week with her diverse, inclusive model castings.
Viktoria Modesta, one of the models showing Chromat’s Fall 2018 collection of sporty neon swimwear and daring dresses, also wore a prosthetic from the knee down.
This isn’t the first time McCharen-Tran has cast a model with a limb difference. In February 2016, amputee Lauren Wasser, who lost her leg after a battle with Toxic Shock Syndrome in 2012, strode down Chromat’s catwalk in a cage-topped sheath dress and a gold prosthetic.
