Selfies for spring?

All the models are doing it, dressed in head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana.

Design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana dedicated their explosively colorful spring 16 collection (dubbed “Italia is Love”) to their home country’s rich tradition with an interactive twist: models dressed in exquisitely embellished frocks and floral headpieces walked against a backdrop of classic Italian landmarks (a restaurant, a souvenir shop, a fruit stand), stopping every so often down the runway to snap a quick selfie.
The selfie was then projected onto giant screens located throughout the show venue, making for an interactive experience that also brought new meaning to the term “fast fashion.” It also acknowledged that the selfie has major trending power, especially when it’s taken by a model like Taylor Hill (she took one clad in a sheer, off-shoulder LBD).

In the 70-look finale, models paraded squad-style dressed in looks that resembled postcards from iconic Italian cities. The selfie game was strong, as was the duo’s elaborate (and clever) collection.
