Designer Jeremy Scott, known for his irreverent, pop-damaged looks as creative director of Moschino, has never been one to play it safe.
Until now, that is. Thanks to a host of condom-themed items in Moschino’s new collab with H&M, many style junkies may be newly inspired to wrap their junk.
Hitting H&M stores Nov. 8, the collection includes a gilded pair of earrings made to look like packaged rubbers ($50), along with a matching necklace. A black logo handbag also made to resemble a condom ($129) reads “READY TO WEAR” on one side. A T-shirt in the collection repeats the message with a close-up photo of an unwrapped contraceptive ($35).
It’s not all about sex ed, however.
The Moschino x H&M collaboration also features street-style Disney characters emblazoned on tees and sweatshirts, an abundance of mashed-up MTV logos, and Scott’s signature gold chain prints and embellishments.
“Whenever I design, I think about my friends,” Scott says in a statement accompanying the lookbook, which showcases models including Aquaria, of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” fame, and Japanese twin-sister musical act Amiaya. “The Moschino x H&M lookbook is like a party, celebrating the fun, the pop, the creativity and the energy of the people and the collection.”
