Despite a few technical difficulties (a windy tent, music that seemed to stop and start, and several models who had trouble walking — one stopped to fix a shoe), the Naeem Khan show hit the right notes as far as haute couture was concerned.

Ostrich feather gowns with intricate beadwork inspired by “the decadence and dust of India” proved a pretty combination, as did roses embroidered on silk chiffon. There might have been a few too many sparkles, but at a show as extravagant as this, who’s counting?
