NAHM, the fledgling shirtwaist-inspired line designed by Nary Manivong and Alexandria “Ally” Hilfiger (yes, Tommy’s daughter), gave a strong, tightly focused second presentation, this time with cute twists on lounge-y ’70s vibes (although the show notes said the inspiration was the 1967 Parisian film “Belle du Jour” and Laotian prints). There were burnt orange-and-yellow basketweave-print dresses buttoned all the way up to the collar, minidresses with giant secretary-style bows at the neck, dropped waists with attached, flared skirts, and a flock of loose white shifts that resembled nighties. The shorter of those innocent white dresses are cool enough to be worn downtown if paired with edgy shoes and a sexy insouciant attitude.
