NAUM SHOW
Naum, by Julia Jentzsch and Waleed Khairzada, was an incredibly sophisticated showing for these relatively new designers.
Admittedly driven by their love of architecture and how it can be applied to clothing, each of the pieces shown looked perfectly made. In particular, the trousers, whether techno-stretch skinny pants or full leg wool gaberdine, fit perfectly.
This collection too had ’80s references. The show opened with a Norma Kamali-esque sleeping bag parka that would be welcome today. There was a Flashdance-y off-the-shoulder dress. And we wonder if it was a coincidence that all of the models sported Sonia Rykiel fly-away hair.
These designers will be getting a lot of attention in the future.
