Celebrating her company’s 25th anniversary has given Miller a fresh perspective.

Miller’s collection was all about the well-defined waist, as the wide belt was everywhere. Skirts were full, with lots of life in crinkle satin, a quilted cotton and smock pleated silk. As you’d expect from a woman whose bread and butter is the dress, hers were well-done, particularly the burn-out velvet ones. But what is Miller’s fascination with Mexican prints? At least this season, she cleverly coordinated her jacquard on jackets, shirts and tights.

People have questioned her showing on the runway in the past and whether her collection belonged there. Good for her that there will be far fewer questions this season.
