The who:
Top menswear editors and seemingly everyone in the world who’s ever worn menswear.
The what:
The designer made literal waves in the form of ocean-printed shirts layered over form fitting jersey knits that resembled wet gear. The rest came as subtler nods to the deep blue via Ervell’s signature functional-but-fashionable sportswear. Nearly everything looked waterproof, which might come in handy for the city dandy unconcerned with toting an umbrella.
The highlight:
The spring suiting options were as eye-catching as the squishy foam runway people got body checked for stepping on.
The takeaway:
Ervell proves once and for all that “nautical” doesn’t have to mean sailor stripes and anchors and we’re one step closer to believing mandals are A-OK.
