People on Instagram are turning their hair into “flower vases” for likes.

Earlier this month, Instagram model Taylor R uploaded a photo of her hair wrapped around a water bottle stuffed with flowers with the hashtag #FlowerVaseHair.

The style quickly blossomed on social media. Moonie Chu, a Hong Kong fencer and Instagram influencer, followed suit and uploaded a photo of her hair in a colorful updo.

“I used elastic bands to create the vase shape, and then placed the flowers into the bottle creating that illusion,” she told Allure.

Floral hairstyles are growing as a style trend, which can be seen in Rodarte’s Spring 2019 fashion show, Rihanna’s September British Vogue cover and Beyonce’s September Vogue Cover.

Meanwhile, one Instagram user took the trend literally. Thomas from Norway told Allure he used an actual vase rather than a water bottle to style his updo.

This isn’t the first whimsical hair trend on Instagram. In April, The Post reported on #Glitterhair, where people put sparkly gel on their scalp and locks.
