The who:
If any brand can bring out a crowd, it’s the kitschy Kate Spade. Editors from every magazine came out to survey the wears, from Teen Vogue’s Amy Astley to People StyleWatch’s Susan Kaufman.

The what:
To be put-together but still have fun with her look is what the Kate Spade customer seems to want. This time around the designs were inspired by European streets and gardens – feminine flared dresses and skirts in black, white, navy and geranium were the staple. But, as usual, the showstopper pieces were found in the accessories, like the continued book clutches that will surely be at the top of everyone’s “reading” list for spring.

The highlight:
A few lemons – in print and color – sprinkled the season’s clothing and accessories, reminding us that next summer can’t come soon enough.

The takeaway:
If your style is pretty and preppy with an eclectic nod, then Kate Spade is your one-stop shop.
