Tim Gunn: Well, I’ve been living with the designers, so I want to hear what Victoria thought.

Victoria Beckham: I am so happy to be here, being such a fan of the show, and to actually see the collections is fascinating to me and to be a part of it. When these designers come out they are so emotional. Their friends are here, their families are here, this is what they have worked their entire careers for, to get the opportunity to show their collections. I thought it was amazing. I thought the standard was incredibly high. The detail was amazing. For me there was one person who really, really stood out. There was one person – every single piece that came down that runway I would wear myself. That person made me smile and I was just amazed, absolutely amazed!

TG: I’m glad to hear that! Well, I will echo Victoria’s words and just add that I am really proud of all of them. The winner will be a matter of taste. It won’t be a matter of some things being made better than others. I think that the construction across the board is superb and the point of view, the conceptual content of the work, is palpable. So, it really is going to be a matter of taste.

VB: I think also, the workmanship and the time that has gone into the clothes is just incredible. And they have done that on their own. I think it is just amazing. They’ve designed it, they’ve made it…it’s incredible! And I think that is what is great about this show. It shows people how hard you have to work, the dedication, the determination, the talent. I think people are surprised just how much work goes into what we’ve just seen.

TG: It has really demystified fashion for people. There was kind of a veil of mystery over it and now people know it is blood, sweat and tears!

VB: It really is.
