While Kim Kardashian held court with a scrum of rabid cameras in one corner of the terrace of Avery Fisher hall, Rachel Roy presented a collection of feminine classics infused with a subtle masculine touch. And it turns out that her clothes gave all of the best sound bites.

Roy herself, an avowed pajama jammy jammer, worked in piped pajama tops in with slouchy suit jackets, cropped trousers and thigh-grazing shorts. Asymmetrical wrap dresses and florals had a heavy but not costume-esque Asian influence. Overall, Roy’s cool but accessible feel was present in everything from a graphic floral geisha maxidress to her soft mint shorts suit.
