Oops, she got inked again.

On Thursday, Barbados-born Rihanna showed off the latest addition to her ever-growing body-art collection — “1988,” her birth year, on her ankle — on Instagram.

While this new ink definitely boasts meaning, it isn’t the only one that’s left a mark — literally. Let’s look at Rihanna’s most notorious tats.

Bang Bang BFFs

While visiting New York’s staple tattoo parlor, Bang Bang, with a friend in March 2009, the Grammy winner not only gifted her pal her own work of art, but liked it so much she opted for a pistol of her own.

Fly falcon, fly

Following the fallout of her tumultuous relationship with Chris Brown, Rihanna had a fierce falcon emblazoned on her ankle in June 2012. In the shape of a handgun, the black-and-white design is regarded as a symbol of strength, as RiRi indicated in this tweet: “Falcon: A light that shines in the darkness! Never close their eyes during sleep.”

Good goddess

In honor of her late grandmother, the “Diamonds” crooner inked a large tat of the goddess Isis on her chest. “Goddess Isis — Complete woman — Model for future generations — #GRANGRANDOLLY — always in my heart,” Rihanna later tweeted in September 2012.

Lessons learned

Through the ups and downs of her personal and professional life, the sultry songstress always finds a way to pull through. During a 2 a.m. tattoo trip to East Side Ink in December 2009, she scribed her motto, “Never a failure, always a lesson” on her right shoulder. She later explained that she tatted the phrase backward so that she could read it in the mirror.

Let freedom ring

The 27-year-old singer etched the left side of her rib cage with the Arabic phrase, “Al Hurria fi Al Meseeh,” which translates to “Freedom in God.”

Star light, star bright

to complete the trail, which ends on her back.

Tribal stamp

While touring in New Zealand in November 2008, the chart-topper adorned her hand with an intriguing mark. “It’s their traditional way of tattooing,” Rihanna noted of the piece. Though the process “hurt like hell,” she had “always wanted [one],” as the tat represents love and strength.

Tuned-in
