Ruffian kicked off day three with a colorful collection that paid homage to their equestrian-inspired roots — the brand’s namesake, after all, comes from the famous female racehorse bearing the same name.

Working in every color of the rainbow — bright fuschia, emerald green, sunny yellow and royal blue — the design duo focused on preppy tailored blazers, cropped cigarette pants and pencil skirts. Most were emblazoned with a bold diagonal or stacked chevron stripes, but the sporty chic philosophy rang loud and clear.

A short series of white terrycloth bralets and shift dresses landed a casual vibe to an otherwise dressy collection.

Based on her ladylike makeover, front row admirer Rose McGowan — dressed in a chic white skirt suit — might find plenty to choose from this very grown-up but still playful collection.
