The set at Sally LaPointe was rich with dramatic romance: decrepit white archways, sky-high crystal chandeliers and a mist floating in the air. Overall, it was the perfect backdrop for this forward-thinking designer’s approach to her collections.

Cue to the clothes, which were neatly presented with LaPointe’s signatures: strong shoulders, clean silhouettes and a super modern perspective.

Though the collection started off a bit heavy for spring (black suede jackets and calfhair skirts come to mind), the heaviness soon gave way to floaty, light-as-air yellow silk concoctions whipped up from stacked flaps and bubbled hemlines.

Though not an entirely wearable collection for most, Lady Gaga (a repeat fan) and her little monsters will surely find edgy additions to their wardrobes.
