SARI GUERON SHOW
The prospect of another chilly winter seems a bit less dreadful when imagining spending it in
Sari Gueron’s cozy fall collection. The clothes were rich in wool and cashmere, with accents
of herringbone and smart piping, and, along with their sturdy flat boots, were perfect for a New
York City girl with a million places to be and nothing to wear to any of them.
Gueron didn’t have quite as much success when she ventured into evening, where well-constructed
taffeta gowns were obscured by feathers, embroidery and Swarovski crystals that made them lose
the downtown aesthetic the rest of the collection so easily embraced. After seeing the grandpa cardigans
and the olive corduroy pants, it felt like the right season to show off your wardrobe during the day and
avoid the dresses and heels by huddling inside by the fire at night.
