Before the rise of the House of Holland, slogan T shirts were alive and well in the heart of Soho.

Every weekend Rebecca Sgan-Cohen or Rebecca-A can be found outside Balthazar on Spring and Lafayette alongside a street stand of hand dyed T shirts emblazoned with her kicky poetry.

Looking like a box of candy hearts neatly spilled on to a table, the sweet bundle of T shirts says things like “Throw your TV out the window; watch while it falls”, “Disgruntled Ballerina”, or my favorite “I may be short but I’m a Genius”.
