SHIRT HAPPENS
THE walk of shame is now shamefully stylish.
The shirtdress – an extension of your boyfriend’s oversize shirt – has evolved in countless ways.
Designers from Diane von Furstenberg to Catherine Malandrino have incorporated shirtdresses into their collections – some with bright, bold color patterns and shorter hemlines. Others, like Pink Tartan and J.Crew, opt for a more conservative take, with a subdued color palette and work-friendly length.
There are many ways to rock it – short or long, flats or heels, belted or loose.
But there’s one thing that hasn’t changed from slipping on your man’s shirt: The shirtdress may be the most comfortable thing you wear.
