Watch out, Anna Wintour!
Sarah Jessica Parker is done abiding by your Met Gala edicts. “I am the only one that ever lives by those rules,” declares Parker, referring to the no-cellphone policy.
“[Everyone is] taking pictures all night long and they have pictures of each other and all the beautiful and architectural displays of flowers … and I am going to stop living by the rules,” she tells Threads after the female-empowerment #ActuallySheCan panel at Tribeca Film Festival last week.
“I’m literally the only one who does. I’m like, ‘Andy [Cohen], why am I the only one not taking pictures?’ ”
Luckily, Parker’s too busy finishing up editing her upcoming HBO comedy series “Divorce,” which she stars in and executive produces, to be scared — or, apparently, to know what she’s donning for the “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” ball.
“I have options, but I have no idea what I’m wearing. I’m dead serious. [The theme is], um. . . it’s perplexing,” she says. “I am confounded by it. But you know, I take the theme very seriously, and sometimes you just gotta do a pass/fail. Everything can’t be an A-plus, right?”
If past Met Balls are any indication, we think she’ll be red hot.
