The Billboard Music Awards don’t have the cachet of, say, the Grammys or the VMAs, so we weren’t expecting much in the way of memorable red-carpet fashion.

And rightly so.

The looks were generally lukewarm, and most evoked the kind of lazy club outfits that typify the Sin City strip — small, tight and tacky. There were copious cutouts and cropped things (because it’s May in Las Vegas and because what else nowadays?), and white was the non-color of the night.

Here are the things that did stand out, however — the good, the bad, and the “no, girl.”

Lopez looked like a desert goddess in layers of diaphanous crimson chiffon, courtesy of Donna Karan.

But it worked. Because, kids, if you’re going to flaunt your tatas in a silk satin bra top, you have to balance it out with a long, high-waisted skirt. Otherwise,

, either. Together, the sisters looked ready to claim their Kardashian birthright as

the hottest, most bronzed

chicks this side of the Mojave.

Hale in this Alex Perry color block dress paired with a Lucite clutch might have jumped right out of the pages of Lucky. It’s a perfect fit for the girl who’s made a career of looking like someone you want to take to prom/home to mom.

And because no one else will care to include

“The Bachelorette” star

, we want to point out that her little celestial shift dress is cool.

Not as much as

Ke$ha

, but at least she didn’t decide on this sickening shade of chartreuse fresh from the sci-fi bridal shop. Speaking of . . .

In this embroidered purple nightmare, just call her the wedding singer.

It was nothing anyone wants to play with.

She wore an ensemble that embodies her music: flowery, transparent and cheesy.
