The pretty, crazy and pretty crazy moments from Milan Fashion Week.

Moncler gave an epic presentation

Those headed for Milan’s fashion week were told to organize their stay around Moncler’s “Genius” presentation. And it was worth it: The Italian outerwear company showed eight different brilliant collections, including the Moncler Grenoble collection by Sandro Mandrino, whose models, clad in printed mountain-gear, moved in unison on the ground while a giant mirror reflected their every move.

Aliens took the runways

Designers looked to outer space for inspiration. We saw Hogan’s metallic sneakers, Gucci’s Cyborg and Moschino’s Jackie O. clones. The overall effect was otherworldy.

Gucci got even weirder than usual

Alessandro Michele gave us another collection worth coveting and talking about, with models carrying what looked like their own heads down the runway. There were also creepy ski masks and a kaleidoscope of ensembles to deconstruct and make your own.

Enter dogs, dragons and drones

It wasn’t just models strutting their stuff down the runways. Gucci turned heads with its “Game of Thrones” dragon, Tod’s had people smiling with its cuddly live puppies and Dolce & Gabbana had the crowd clapping when handbag-toting drones “walked” the runway.

Rainbows ruled

Marco de Vincenzo based its collection around experiencing all that real life and the great outdoors has to offer. It showed a fun, color-filled wardrobe of sparkly, head-to-toe rainbows.

Best revived trend

Prada’s show was filled with a remix of its greatest hits (hello, Nylon bags). Best of the bunch? The flame wedges that originally burst onto the runways in the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The new neon numbers are a sure-fire winner for street style mavens come fall.

Fashion with a cause

Italian fashion darling and editor Anna Dello Russo hosted an auction of her archived wacky fashion collection. Hailey Baldwin and Jasmine Sanders were among the many models who strutted their stuff during a lavish affair benefiting the Swarovski Foundation Scholarship Program, which is devoted to sustaining young fashion talents of the future.

Best in show

Tommy Hilfiger ended Milan fashion week in high gear with his TOMMYNOW “Drive” show, a mix of classic American looks and racing motifs. Models in checkered-flag prints sped down the runway, and showgoers got to experience an F1 Race Simulator and F1 Pitstop Challenge. Fans continued the theme after the show, racing to buy the Spring/Summer 2018 collection.
