The Perfect VThe Perfect V

Feeling a little dull down there? Add some shimmer.

It’s a mouthful of a name for a whopper of a product: The cream adds “iridescent color” to your nether regions, brightening and moisturizing for “instant radiance,” according to the company’s site.

As with most supplementary feminine products, all of this is meant to make your “V” look “youthful and fresh” — a subtler, more modern take on vajazzling.

“Very V” is entering an increasingly crowded market: There’s a balm, VMAGIC, meant to hydrate chapped vagina-adjacent skin. Actress Emma Watson has sung the praises of Fur Oil, a moisturizer for down-there hair. And who can forget Gwyneth Paltrow-endorsed vaginal steaming, which promises the same glow you’d get from a facial?

Here’s the thing: While the products may seem like fun, they also bump up your risk of irritating a sensitive part of your body. Just like skin on your face, skin around the bikini area can react to certain products — especially if you don’t wash them off before getting dressed for the day.

So it’s probably for the best that the luminizer is only sold in Scandinavia at the moment — though we’ll give it about a week before it’s sold on Goop.
