After receiving her “Moon Person” awards on Monday evening at the VMAs, Jennifer Lopez dressed the part of a visitor from another planet.

The newly minted MTV Video Vanguard Award winner celebrated her achievement in a skintight, cleavage-bearing Versace catsuit, which she donned for the VMA afterparty.

The plunging neckline is classic J.Lo. But the splashy scarf print — along with the way it extends all the way down over her feet like strange stockings — makes this feel less like an outfit, and more like an optical illusion. (It’s worth noting that the Jessica Rich shoes she paired with this item are see-through stilettos made from potentially treacherous hand-cut plastic.)

Throughout the show, the superstar stunned in six looks also by Versace, including a slinky silver gown on the red carpet and a strappy gold leotard for her performance celebrating her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.

But this look, topped off with shield shades and a massive belt, earns the award for most deliriously daring of the night.
