Tibi designer Amy Smilovic took a trip to Londontown to design her Fall 2008 collection, perfect for pretty city girls who are two parts feminine and one part badass.

Maybe it’s global warming – she did give out “My Bag Cares” canvas bags as favors – but Smilovic’s dresses in pretty florals, funky arboretum and sweet paisley prints left a feeling of spring in the air. And plaid trousers paired with merino turtlenecks, metallic jacquard pants and dresses, and an over-sized hounds-tooth dress over cropped pants referenced the Brit babe vibe she said she was going for.

The evening gown portion of the show – floor-length and fabulous – was brief but beautiful. Highlights included a royal purple chiffon halter, a glamorous gold lame bow gown and a burnt orange long-sleeve number with heavily blinged out cuffs. We bet that come September the loyal Tibi girl will be praying for an excuse to buy one.
