There’s a little rock ‘n’ roll on the Upper East Side. Tory Burch’s namesake collection has always been all about the way she dresses — and apparently, she’s been frequenting the live music scene, or is at least is inspired by her Warner Music chief boyfriend Lyor Cohen.

“This is the way I want to dress,” explained Burch when asked about the genesis for excellent skinny pants, highly-stylized jackets and dresses and kick-ass boots. At first glance, these clothes would be more at home in Lenny Kravitz’s closet than a socialite’s, but on closer inspection, the pieces could fit in both worlds. And how apropos that Kanye West (and a smallish entourage) was holding court in the corner. It’s a new day at Tory.
