Tuleh has traditionally been associated with pretty, feminine, romantic. So what went wrong this season? A few things. First, the odd color combinations – a camel floor-length coat with a bright orange fur neckline was particularly offensive. Though there was some much needed color in this collection, the pairings were off, save for a few looks. Secondly, when did wearing flimsy metallic robes (again, with a fur collar) with high heels become fashionable? Or even acceptable? And finally, was it necessary to pair the prettiest look of the night – a retro tea length strapless blue dress (complete with appliques and a medley of fabrics to give it a modern twist) – with a sloppy, floor-length sweater?

Luckily, designer Bryan Bradley scored with his ’50s inspired looks, including an orange-red strapless frock with sweetheart neckline, and a purple printed circle skirt that was paired with a bright blue metallic striped sweater and hot pink boots. Another plus? The oversized metallic clutches, with the rainbow-colored one being the obvious favorite – amazing.

Front row races included Nigel Barker and Miss J, who were seated together, natch. Were they scouting for America’s Next Top Trend? Not at this show.
